Emme Alice Lipscomb is a visual artist and musician from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her work—dreamlike and haunting—explores the fragility of identity, memory, and their inconstant, shifting nature. She is drawn to surreal landscapes, and obscured portraiture, capturing herself through self portraiture, or reflections of her environment.
Emme studied filmmaking, production design and fine art photography at DePaul University, and received her BFA in 2020. Recently, she has focused her practice on alternative process photography—particularly Cyanotype. Her work is inspired by Film Noir, Gothic novels, and Midwestern landscapes.
